The demand from both teachers and parents alike for more software and hardware-assisted teaching and learning processes has placed tremendous pressure on schools to acquire digital tools to engage with students. However, declining funding from official bodies has been compelling these institutions to employ cost-effective technologies that fulfil their needs efficiently.
With over three decades of experience in providing services to the education sector, AdEPT Education (formerly Atomwide) is the perfect technology partner for such academic institutions across the UK. “We were a perfect fit to AdEPT’s business structure from the start, and the acquaintance gives us access to more resources in terms of research and development facilities, and other operational locations from where we can deliver our services,” explains Nick Shea, Sales Director at AdEPT Education.
The company allows institutions to access digital architecture aligned with their objectives as well as budgets. It provides digital transformation services, communications, a school resource zone, parental engagement tools, and other similar requirements to more than 3000 institutions and maintains a collaborative relationship with its customer base. AdEPT Education believes in setting high standards for IT services delivery. It leverages the in-depth experience and knowledge of its experts to assist schools in meeting the demands of stakeholders. “We specifically design our services for the unique requirements of a school. It’s the extensive experience of our staff in the education sector that allows us to tailor IT infrastructure for our clients that is not only seamless and agile but also future-proof,” says Shea.
We try to upskill the staff in schools so that they can utilise technology more effectively to help engage the students in the classroom
To offer consistent support to its customer base, AdEPT Education has a help desk at its headquarters in South East London, which is well-equipped to understand the needs of a school and address their immediate issues with a first-time fix rate of over 80 percent. AdEPT Education, in addition, offers training sessions to enhance the technical ability of staff in schools. “We try to upskill them so that they can utilise technology more effectively to help engage the students in the classroom. We offer both on-site and off-site training programs,” explains Shea.
These training sessions open up a world of new possibilities that can increase the engagement levels and productivity of a classroom. However, the use of technology can also create new issues. One such instance is that of inappropriate visual content popping-up as advertisements during sessions. AdEPT Education worked to acquire knowledge of how to resolve such a problem. After the successful collaborative study, the technology service provider created its video monitoring service, “myVideos,” to assist teachers in viewing online videos through a content filtering app and then choosing the ones that are appropriate for student viewership. Since all the content is viewed through the myVideos application, students can view the content free of any unfitting material.
With the vision to continue aiding educational institutions across the UK, AdEPT Education will consistently leverage the prowess of its parent company as well as the experience of its staff to deliver innovative, cost-effective and agile solutions. As the growth of technology in the education landscape is imminent, the team at AdEPT Education believes that schools must have proper and adequate assistance to future-proof their IT infrastructure development plans, and thus provides the desired support to educational institutions to ensure the same.
